If you feel that your eyes make you look tired or older than you are, blepharoplasty can help. Blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, is a plastic surgery procedure which improves wrinkles, deep lines and puffiness around the eyes for a more youthful and rested appearance.

Dr. Ran Y. Rubinstein is a board certified facial plastic surgeon located in New York.
At Laser & Cosmetic Surgery Specialists of New York, blepharoplasty is performed by Dr. Rubinstein on an outpatient basis. Local anesthesia and sedation are commonly used. Incisions for traditional blepharoplasty are placed in the crease of the upper eyelids or along the lash line of the lower eyelids. For patients with just excess fat of the lower eyelids and no excess skin, transconjunctival blepharoplasty may be performed. In this case, the incision is made inside of the lower eyelid. Surgical times for blepharoplasty average one to two hours.
I had really heavy bags under my eyes. A friend of mine had a facelift done fifteen years ago and still looks great, so I called her and asked her who her plastic surgeon was. When she told me, Dr. Ran Rubinstein, I looked him up online and made an appointment. My consultation was great: Dr. Rubinstein listened to my concerns, examined my eyes, and recommended a lower blepharoplasty. I was really impressed with how much time he spent explaining the procedure to me. I went home, did some reading and reflecting, and decided to have the procedure.
I'm very pleased with my results. All of my expectations have certainly been met. Recovery was easy because Dr. Rubinstein and his staff gave me everything I needed, including creams, cleansers, and moisturizers. Follow-up appointments have gone great, I've been to three now and Dr. Rubinstein says I'm healing really well. Women with bags under their eyes should make an appointment with Dr. Rubinstein. He's helped me so much.
