What a wonderful experience!
What a wonderful experience! My recent Eyelid surgery was like a day at the spa. In the day of my surgery, the staff greeted me by name. Everyone knew why I was there and everyone was there for me –just me-. I was not #1, #2 or #3 lined up for surgery, I was Pat. During my surgery I received several calls from you and your staff to ensure I was comfortable and to see if I had any question. The eyelid surgery was beautiful. In fact one of my clone friend of about four years told me she never knew I had green eyes. I call that a success.
I thank you, Dr. Rubinstein and your dedicated staff for the success.

Dr. Rubinstein was the answer to my sad, tired look
I came to Dr. Rubinstein at 49 years old while I had basically “good skin”. I was starting to look and feel old. My chin was sagging. My jowls were pronounced and I just looked tired. Since we are all only given one life, I always try to enjoy or improve my life in somebody. Dr. Rubinstein was the answer to my sad, tired look. After my procedures, I look and feel like a much younger version of myself (only wiser this time). People can’t believe my age now 49 or that I have a 24 years old son and 21 years old daughter.
The office staff was always sweet and professional much nice than anywhere in NYC. They were helpful with all the arrangements and were very caring pest-procedure.
Dr. Rubinstein was a perfectionist with regard to his work. We know just what would work and how to get the results I wanted. Everything he told me would happen-did. There were no surprises. He was caring and called me at home to ask about my experience the next day.
I am so thankful that such excellent care and skill is right here in my backyard.

Thank you Dr. Rubinstein for adding to my confidence
My Facelift, Sculptra and Laser Facial experience with the Laser & Cosmetics Surgery Specialists
After four rounds of recurring oral cancer surgeries, I started receiving encouraging reports from my oncological team at Dana-Farber Cancer Center and Harvad Medical School in Boston, MA. I began, after nearly three years to think of the future rather than follow one day at a time approach to life. In short, I began to plain again.
It took time, of course, for me to heal after the fourth extensive surgery-i,e., nerves and blood vessels needed to reattach and/or heal. After two years, I decided, with the consent of oral cancer team, to seek facial work. After a lot of research (I built a career as a journalist for a major news magazines.). I discovered a talented young cosmetic surgeon near my home named Dr. Ran Y. Rubinstein. Dr. Rubinstein, in my opinion, possessed outstanding credentials, including the distinction of holing the position of professor at New York Prebyterian Hospital, an outstanding cosmetic treatment cancer. He trains future cosmetic surgeon at the hospital as well as training surgeons in new techniques in the upstate area.
When I consulted Dr. Rubinstein, I discovered a positive, upbeat person with knowledge of oral cancer. I later learned from my oncological surgeon that many plastic surgeon is reluctant to operate on oral cancer patients because of the amount of fat and tissue removed from the neck, which increases the possibility of facial nerve complications. But Dr. Rubinstein, as he ut it, “liked the challenge” and felt more than capable of performing the work.
Dr. Rubinstein works carefully and in stages. In the build-up to surgery, he used several pre-operations procedures. He injected Sculptra over a period of months to fill in the hollows in my face, especially around the eyes and in my cheeks. Closer to surgery, he used Juvederm to add volume to my mouth and Botox to relax muscles around my eyes and mouth and to enhance surgery.
During surgery on my neck and lower jaw line area. Dr. Rubinstein ran into a tangled facial nerver in the portion of neck/face where the cancer surgeries had taken place. He worked meticulously for about 7.5 hours to complete his work. After the swelling went down, I was delighted with the operation. Not only Dr. Rubinstein taken years off my appearance, he had moved the cancer scars toward my jaw line so they were far less noticeable. The “sagging” from removal of my lymph nodes disappeared. I couldn’t have been happier. He received kudos from my oncological surgeon for the job as well.
In the months of following the surgery, Dr. Rubinstein closely followed the healing process. He suggested a serious of laser facial treatments, which lessened sun damage and obvious blood vessels in my face. As a plus, he later approved laser work on the neck area where all the cancer surgeries were performed. The redness—i.e., surface blood vessels—lessened.
Would I recommend Dr. Rubinstein and his talented, professional staff? I’ll answer that question with an enthusiastic “Yes.”
On December 9 of this year (2009), I celebrate the one-year anniversary of my facial surgery. I also see my oncological team on that day for hopefully another positive, cancer free report. And, yes, life is good. The women in the mirror look less like a cancer patient and more like a happy, healthy individual—someone who, as a former high-altitude mountaineer, can tackle new adventures. Thank you Dr. Rubinstein for adding to my confidence.

I highly recommend Dr. Rubinstein for any of the cosmetic techniques
I have nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Ran Rubinstein. He is not only a talented and meticulous plastic surgeon, he also make it a point to get to know his patients and to follow their course of treatments in other medical areas. For me, that meant listening to and assessing my treatments for recurring oral cancer. Over a course of year. I had multiple surgeries to remove tumors, lesion and ultimate lymph nodes. When the lead surgeon on my oncological team gave me the go ahead plastic surgery. Dr. Rubinstein agreed to do the work. I later learned from members of my team at Dana-Farber/Harvard Medical that a lot of plastic surgeons would not have taken on the challenge. I say “challenge” because a surgery on one side of my neck had resulted in the removal of lymph nodes, fat and tissue. During the healing process, a facial nerve had become entangled.
The tricky task of untangling the nerve and lifting my lower face took over seven hours. The outcome was far better than I had hopped. Not only had Dr. Rubinstein markedly improved the appearance of my face. He also had pulled up long neck scar to below my chin so that barely be seen. His surgery left no marks. The laser treatment that went hand in hand with the surgery also no scars.
Preparation for the surgery involved Sculptra treatment to fill in the hollows of my face, a natural part of aging. It also entailed injection of Juvederm to my thinning lips again a result of aging and injection of Botox around my eyes. All treatment were successful.
I have since have laser facials and Juvederm injections all positive. I recently had after two years, a Sculptra “touch up.” It produced good results very quickly. Minimal discomfort was involved. In the days following the Sculptra treatment, people remarked that I looked healthy. After fighting cancer for years, this is one of the best things this cancer survivor can hear. This Sculptra treatment all with all treatments have looked natural, which is what I sought. I highly recommend Dr. Rubinstein for any of the cosmetic techniques that he offers.

On my wedding day I looked like myself with a perfect nose
Dr. Rubinstein performed a rhinoplasty procedure for me a year before my wedding. The surgery went better than I expected and my results are wonderful. Dr. Rubenstein smoothed down the bump in my nose as well as adjusted the tip of my nose. My nose looks great and my appearance has been improved without any drastic changes to my natural look. Dr. Rubenstein was thorough, helpful, and a pleasure to have a surgery. On my wedding day I looked like myself with a perfect nose.

Thank you again for giving our staff an in-service on skin care
Dr. Rubenstein,
Thank you again for giving our staff an in-service on skin care. We appreciate the time you took and realize that you left a very busy office in order to do this for us.
We certainly learned a great deal and appreciate knowing just how much is involved with skincare, skin lotions and skin procedures. We all learned a great deal. So many procedures can be done in such a short period of time makes it very desirable because it is so accessible. Learning and seeing just what happens to someone who undergoes a procedure without the necessary education is something we should be aware of. This is good information to share with our patients and in our community.
Thank you again,
