Facial plastic surgery is a great option if you have the time to devote to the surgery itself and the recovery afterwards. You get long-lasting results from surgery too, which can make the time spent waiting for those results to appear worth it for some people.
But what is you don’t have time to spare? What if you want your wrinkles gone STAT or a fresher look ASAP? There’s good news. A number of instant beauty and cosmetic treatments are available. These procedures reveal results pretty much right away and have little or no downtime.
A variety of instant beauty treatments are available, so you’re likely to find the one that meets your needs.
Juvederm Fillers
Many injectable fillers provide results that you can see right away. The Juvederm family of fillers is just one example. The brand produces three different fillers, each of which treats a specific beauty or aging concern. The fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, a substance that naturally occurs in the body but diminishes with age. Hyaluronic acid plays a big role in keeping the skin plump and supple.
Classic Juvederm is commonly used to treat lines and folds between the mouth and nose. You can see the effect of the filler right after injection, and results typically last for up to a year.
Juvederm Voluma is also made out of hyaluronic acid. It’s a thicker gel than basic Juvederm and it’s used to restore lost facial volume in the cheek area. Results from Voluma appear right away, which is much more quickly than the results from Sculptra, another filler that adds volume. The recovery period after a Voluma treatment is also considerably shorter than the recovery needed after facial implants, which permanently add volume to the cheek area. Typically, the results from Voluma are long lasting, up to two years.
Laser Hair Removal
Let’s face it, hair removal is a pain. Although most methods get rid of hair right away, you have to repeat them frequently to maintain results. Laser hair removal is slightly different from other removal options. It immediately removes unwanted, actively growing hair for good.
There’s a slight catch, though, and that’s that many people usually need a series of laser hair removal treatments to get the full results. While the treated hair is permanently gone, follicles that weren’t actively growing hair at the time of the treatment can still produce new hairs. Often, patients need about four treatments to get the full results. Each treatment is usually spaced about a month apart.
Microdermabrasion or a Facial Peel
If you want to instantly perk up your skin, consider microdermabrasion or a facial peel. Mild peels and microdermabrasion gently remove the outer layer of dull, dead skin cells. The treatments can reveal a more youthful look, without the need for a lengthy recovery.
In exchange for an instant beauty boost, though, you get a treatment that’s not particularly deep or long lasting. Usually, microdermabrasion or a mild chemical peel is recommended to people who only have mild signs of aging, such as very fine lines or some age spots. If you have deeper lines, more visible pores or darker age spots, you might benefit from a deeper peel or another treatment entirely.
Lip Fillers
Fuller lips have been all the rage for several years now. Although more complicated surgical procedures are available to permanently plump the lips, many patients turn to injectable fillers to get the fuller pout they’re after.
Fillers offer several advantages if you’re looking to add volume to the lips. For one thing, the results are visible instantly. For another, some fillers, like Juvederm Volbella, are specially formulated for use in the lip area. Although many hyaluronic acid fillers only add volume to the lips for four to six months, the results from Volbella can last for as long as a year.
Liquid Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty is one of the most popular plastic surgeries out there. Although surgical rhinoplasty has many benefits, it’s not the right choice for everyone. The recovery period afterwards tends to be lengthy, and the surgery itself takes a few hours.
If you’re considering rhinoplasty but aren’t sure if you want to commit to a permanent change or don’t have the time to set aside for surgery and recovery, a liquid rhinoplasty can be a suitable alternative for you.
A liquid rhinoplasty provides instantly visible results, but it is considerably more limited than its surgical cousin. For example, there are only a few changes the procedure can make to the nose. If you want a wider nose or a more prominent nasal tip, it can help. It can also fill in divots or depressions in the nose and make a crooked nose appear straighter. A liquid nose job won’t help if you want a smaller nose or if you have issues with the function of the nose, though.
Aside from offering instant results, the benefit of many immediate beauty treatments is that there’s little commitment. If you decide you don’t like the results of a liquid rhinoplasty, you can wait for the fillers to fade away or have your surgeon inject an enzyme that dissolves them. In many cases, you can look at instant beauty treatments as a way to try before you buy. If you don’t like the results, you aren’t stuck with them.
