The ideal candidate will be in generally good health, over 21, understand the filler process, and hold realistic expectations for their results. Restylane Silk is considered a safe and effective treatment to plump the lips and smooth minor facial lines in all skin types and ethnicities.
Since Restylane Silk is made from HA, a substance occurring naturally in the body, there is little chance for complications or allergic reactions. However, those with a known allergy to Lidocaine should not choose Restylane Silk.
Treatment with Restylane Silk
A treatment with Restylane Silk will take less than 30 minutes to complete in Dr. Rubinstein’s office. Once the targeted area has been determined, the gel filler is applied using an ultrafine needle, allowing for extreme precision. Restylane Silk contains Lidocaine, an anesthetic, meaning that injections are not painful. Upon request however, a topical or local anesthetic can be used before treatment, as well.
