What's NEW?

SCULPTRA: It's all about Volume & Value! ...

Dr. Rubinstein, as a physician trainer and educator, has been among the pioneers who have introduced and promoted the concept of volumetric lifting of the face. The face is best understood by comparing it to a table and tablecloth.  As we age we loose facial volume i.e. the table shrinks.  This leaves less support for the facial skin i.e. the tablecloth, which then in turn sags.  By replacing lost facial volume, the eyes, brows, cheeks and jaw line can be non surgically lifted.  This often times results in a more natural rejuvenation than a surgical face lift.  You may have come across different names for the same procedures.  Some examples are:  "Injectable Face Lift", "VolumaLift" and "The Liquid Lift".

Dr. Rubinstein has and continues to use various filler injections to accomplish these results.  The main concern has been ongoing costs as the treatments have to be repeated every 6 to 12 months.

Sculptra has changed how plastic surgeons will approach non surgical facial volumizing and rejuvenation forever.  Sculptra is a synthetic injectable material, PLLA, used safely in the body for many years in dissolvable stitches and soft tissue implants.  As it dissolves, Sculptra will stimulate natural collagen production replacing lost facial volume.  The Sculptra is broken down into natural by products including carbon dioxide and water which is then excreted from the body.  You are left with your own natural collagen.

A series of 2 to 4 treatments is performed every 8 to 12 weeks until the final result is accomplished.  The injections are performed in our new state of the art office in less than 30 minutes.  There is virtually no discomfort or downtime.  Most activities can be resumed the next day.  The effects can last two to five years.  Because we continue to lose facial volume with age, most patients will come in for a single touch up treatment every 2 years.

Sculptra has made  non surgical volume lifting of the face affordable and long lasting.  Sculptra can be combined with other treatments such as laser facials, Juvederm lip injections and Botox treatments.  Each serves its own unique purpose.

Dr. Rubinstein has combined volumetric Sculptra facial injections with his patients undergoing facial rejuvenation surgery.  The combination of surgical lifting and volume replacement has resulted in the most natural rejuvenation results.

Dr. Rubinstein has the most experience with Sculptra in the region and has been enlisted by Sanofi Aventis, the maker of Sculptra, as one of their educators and trainers in advanced injection methods offered only to dermatologists and plastic surgeons.

LATISSE : A new innovation in lashes

What is LATISSE?
LATISSE solution is a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis used to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker, and darker.
Eyelash hypotrichosis is another name for having inadequate or not enough eyelashes.

How does it work?
LATISSE is believed to affect the growth (anagen) phase of the eyelash hair cycle in 2 ways: first, it increases the length of this phase; and second, it increases the number of hairs in this growth phase.  The exact way it works is unknown.

How soon will I see results?
The onset of effect with LATISSE solution is gradual.  In the clinical trial, the majority of LATISSE users saw a significant improvement by 2 months.

How is LATISSE different?
Only LATISSE has been approved by the FDA as a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis used to grow eyelashes.  It also has been studied in clinical trial to demonstrate its safety and effectiveness.
