Smart Lipo Triplex is a safe, minimally-invasive, laser-assisted lipolysis procedure that uses laser energy to permanently remove unwanted fat from the face. The laser liquefies the fat for easier removal and more precise results while also tightening the skin. It is ideal for treating areas of the face and neck, like the jowls.
Patients will see noticeable improvement immediately after treatment; however, because the laser also promotes the production of new collagen, continued improvement and skin tightening can be seen over time. Smart Lipo Triplex also provides improved results compared to traditional liposuction techniques which can result in complications like dimpling and sagging.
SmartLipo Triplex- The Surgery
Smart Lipo Triplex is performed on an outpatient basis with local anesthesia. During the procedure, Dr. Rubinstein makes a tiny incision in the treatment area and inserts a very small tube fitted with a laser fiber. The laser energy ruptures the fat cells which are then removed with gentle suction. The laser also promotes the production of new collagen which tightens the skin.
Smart Lipo Triplex is often performed with other facial procedures for improved results, including neck lift surgery and chin augmentation. During consultation, Dr. Rubinstein will use video imaging to provide you with a better idea of the results that can be achieved with Smart Lipo Triplex and other procedures.
After Surgery: What to Expect
Smart Lipo Triplex involves a significantly shorter and easier recovery compared to traditional liposuction techniques. There is generally less swelling, bruising and pain. A special compression garment will need to be worn for a period of time after treatment. This helps to minimize swelling and support the new contours of the body.
One treatment is typically all that is needed. While immediate improvement can be seen, the results will continue to improve over the next three to six months as new collagen grows. Most normal activities can be resumed within two to four days after treatment, though strenuous activities and exercise should be postponed for about seven to ten days.
