About the Staff

Dr. Ran Rubinstein has more than 20 years of experience in facial plastic surgery and aesthetic procedures including injectables and laser procedures for the face and body. He is a double board certified facial plastic surgeon and a fellow of both the American Board of Facial Plastic Surgery and American Society of Laser Medicine & Surgery. In 2008, after years of specialized training, Dr. Rubinstein founded Laser and Cosmetic Specialists, in the heart of the Hudson Valley. In 2023, Dr. Rubinstein expanded his practice into Bergen County, New Jersey with the founding of the Rubinstein Plastic Surgery Center.

Dr. Rubinstein enjoyed giving back through physician education. He spent 15 years as an assistant clinical professor at the prestigious Columbia New York Presbyterian Hospital teaching future surgeons. University level training emphasized surgical procedures often leaving graduates looking to learn more about aesthetic injectable and laser treatments. Dr. Rubinstein helped fill that niche as a national trainer for some of the world’s most popular injectables.

The rapid global growth of the aesthetic injectable market over the last 5 to 10 years has presented new challenges. Demand outpaced the supply of highly skilled cosmeitc physicians. Dr. Rubinstein helped filled this need within his own growing practice by training & employing physician assistants and nurse practitioners. They were carefully handpicked, with a prerequisite for having a background in art and music. They had to be kind, demonstrate attention to detail and demonstrate manual dexterity. Only after a lengthy intensive preceptorship with Dr. Rubinstein are they able to begin treating patients. Training and supervision continue indefinitely.
